Mac mineralize skinfinish in Porcelain Pink
Hey Bloggers,
Today’s post is going to be a review on another highlighting powder. Totally of subject but I’m in University and I’m done tomorrow! I’m so excited because I now only have one exam left. This is Mac’s mineralize skinfinish in Porcelain pink. It is a limited edition product but it gets repromoted every little while and sometimes you can get it at CCO. That’s where I got mine. This one is a really nice light pink color with gold veining. It is absolutely gorgeous in the pan. I have an obsession with mineralize products I just find they look so pretty in their pans. So here’s the review:
- Packaging: The packaging is just like almost every other Mac product some people hate it but I quite like the sleek and polished look of the plane black packaging with the clear lid that allows you to see the color. The lids closes perfectly and I am not scared that it would open in a makeup bag.
- Product: I must say I really like this color. It is such a nice pink and I have never seen anything else like it. I like that it doesn’t have any noticeable shimmers when applied on the skin and it just gives a nice glow. The powder is quite hard and usually that’s a problem for me but it doesn’t bother me at all because I don’t have a problem getting the product on a brush.
Ratings:
- Packaging: 8/10
- Product: 9/10
- Price: 7/10
Total: 8/10 (A)
Overall, I really like this product. It’s priced mid-range but I think the price is really worth it because it is a really unique nice color in my opinion. This would have to be my favourite highlighter so when I run out, I will definitely go buy another one even if that’s not going to be before a long time because you get quite a lot of product. For reference, I’ve had this since this summer and used it at 1 day out of 2 and you can see in the pictures it looks almost new. So thanks for reading and you can subscribe if you liked it.
Have a nice day,
Mel xoxo

Dior Amber Diamonds highlighting powder - Review
Hey Bloggers,
Today’s post is going to be about Dior Amber diamond highlighting powder. I’ve had this since a while. I received this as a gift for my birthday. I’ve always wanted this highlight before that but I was never able to take the move to splurge because it is so expensive, especially in Canada. Is it worth the money? Here’s what I think.
Packaging: This comes in a gorgeous expensive looking compact with the Dior logo on it and it comes in a small velvet sleeve to protect the packaging. I like that the lid is securely closed so I’m not scared that it will open.
Product: I really like the product itself it gives a really nice sheen to the skin without having noticeable glitter. I don’t find that it accentuates pores but as with any highlighter, I would not put this over blemishes as you don’t want to highlight those. This powder is really soft and you don’t need to apply a lot. The only thing is that being soft, I’m scared it might break during travelling so it’s not a product that I’m going to bring during vacations. At that price, I really don’t want to break it.
Grades:
Packaging: 9/10
Quality: 8/10
Price: 5/10
Total: 7.3/10 (B+)
To conclude, this product is really nice. I really like the finish and the colors it gives to the skin. The only bad thing about it really is the price but that’s you pay for Dior. If you have the money to buy it, go for it but I think there are more affordable options with similar results out there. Not looking at the color, a nice mid-range option would be Mac mineralize skinfinish in porcelain pink and a nice super affordable option would be Hard Candy bronzer in Tiki (It’s really an highlighter even on my light skin). So, I hope this review was helpful and I hope you liked it.
Thanks for reading, have a nice day,
Mel xoxo

EOTD–Nearly bare lid with a pop of color using Too Faced natural eye
Hey Bloggers,
How are you today? I’m at university and I am during my exams week so I need a quick look that doesn’t need a lot of blending. I know people are going to think: Why is she even wearing makeup during exams? Even if I don’t do something as elaborated or artistic as what I like to do when I have a lot of time, doing my makeup is something that calms me. I just can’t leave the house without makeup. It’s not because I’m not confident in myself, it’s because it’s just a really important step that brightens my morning. Anyway enough rambling, here’s the look I am wearing today using mostly Too Faced natural eye.
- Urban Decay primer potion
- Mac “Painterly” paint pot
- Too Faced “Silk teddy” eye shadow (All over lid color)
- Too Faced “Velvet revolver” eye shadow (Transition color)
- Too Faced “Push-up” eye shadow (In the outer part of the crease)
- Too Faced “Heaven” eye shadow (Browbone matte highlight)
- Lise Watier “Peacock” eye pencil (Upper lash line)
- Urban Decay “Zero” eyeliner (In the waterline)
- Yves Saint-Laurent Faux-cils (Black mascara)
- Clinique Bottom lashes mascara
So there’s the finish look. I hope you liked it.
Bye, xoxo

Essence sun club matte bronzing powder in blondes - review, swatches and comparison
From left to right: Essence bronzer in blonde, Sephora bronzer in bora bora, Guerlain terracotta bronzer in 00, Rimmel bronzer in sun light and Nars bronzer in casino
Hello Bloggers,
It has been a crazy long time since my last post. I got to University and that occupied the majority of my time. I'm going on vacations in a week and I've hit pan on almost all my bronzers and powders so I decided to go buy some cheap alternatives to bring with me during the trip because I find that when you've hit pan, a product is more prone to breaking. I wanted something really cheap so when I passed in front of the Essence display and saw their bronzer for about 4$ (don't quote me on that) I knew that I wanted to give it a try especially that it's hard to find a good matte bronzer from the drugstore. When I swatched it and first applied it, I was so impress that I really wanted to put a review out there because I feel that this product doesn't get nearly enough recognition in the beauty community on YouTube. So here's my review:
Pigmentation: This bronzer is super pigmented. It is the most pigmented bronzer I have ever seen. I honestly think the pigmentation beats Nars casino, Guerlain terracotta, Rimmel, Sephora brand and Art Deco.
Finish: This bronzer has a lovely matte finish and has absolutely no shimmer. It is perfect for contouring.
Texture: It's a really soft powder. You only need to slightly touch the tip of your brush in it to get product on the brush.
Application: it applies smoothly and evenly and is quite blendable.
Color: The color is a really nice tan color more on the dark side even if it's for blondes but works great on my light skin. It doesn't look orange at all on me.
Pros:
- price
- pigmentation
- application
- product amount
Cons
- product amount (the pan is quite big so it might not be the best for somebody who wants to put it in it's makeup bag)
- compact slightly hard to close (that's being picky)
Packaging: 7/10
Price: 10/10
Pigmentation/color: 9/10
Application: 9/10
Average: 8.75/10 (A)
Overall, I thing this is a really great product. It is really affordable and is quite easy to find (i got mine at Shopper's drug Mart). It has a great value for the money and I would recommend it to anyone. The fair color would look nice on anyone from light to medium skin (maybe would be too dark for extremely fair skins) and they even have a shade called brunette that would be nice for deeper skin tones or somebody who likes heavy contouring. So that's it for today, I hope to be able to post some other posts in the near future.
Thanks for reading,
Bye xoxo
